Digital marketing is the growing of a business’s online presence through services that are web-based as well as other forms of communication and promotion. This enables the producer to connect with the customer through digital communications such as email, social media or search engine optimisation (SEO).

Digital marketing can be broken down into 8 different types: content marketing, email marketing, mobile marketing, viral marketing, influencer marketing, SEO, pay-per-click (PPC) and social media marketing.

Through these different types of marketing, there are also different marketing strategies that a company can implement in order to promote their goods and services and hopefully turn leads into customers.

Another key element of digital marketing is the 7 P’s, which include: product, price, place, promotion, packaging, position and people, these 7 P’s need to be checked and adjusted regularly in order to maximise a business’s results.

With a combination of the 7 P’s coupled with the different types of digital marketing can help boost a companies online presence and turn campaigns into results.
