Eight different types of digital marketing.

In total there are eight main different types of digital marketing, this includes: content marketing, email marketing, mobile marketing, viral marketing, influencer marketing, SEO, pay-per-click (PPC) and social media marketing.

Content Marketing:

Content Marketing is a marketing strategy that is used to attract, engage and retain a business’s audience by creating content that is relevant to what your customer wants to see, this includes promoting your brands awareness through marketing streams such as blogs and newsletters.

Email Marketing:

Email marketing is a form of direct marketing that enables a business to speak to their customers through email, your business is able to promote its products or services as well as allow your customers to contact you with any queries. Email marketing also allows your company to send advertising, solicit sales or find new business.

Mobile Marketing:

Mobile marketing is any type of marketing activity that promotes your business through mobile devices, including mobile phones and tablets. It utilises location services to find customers near you to help you tailor campaigns specific to customers in your area.

Viral Marketing:

Viral marketing is a method of marketing which encourages consumers to share your company’s information through online marketing platforms.

Influencer Marketing:

Influencer marketing includes collaborating your brand with online influencers, thus boosting your brand to new audiences and increasing your business’s traffic and recognition. Influencer marketing has to reach the type of people with whom your brand wants to intercede with.

Search engine optimisation (SEO) :

Search engine optimisation (or SEO) is your brands way of ranking up in search engines such as Google or Bing. As surfing the web is one of the main ways in which people discover your business’s content online. The better your ranking, the higher the volume of traffic on your website, so the more sales your business makes.

Pay-per-Click (PPC):

Pay-per-click (PPC) is one of the more expensive ways of digital marketing as you the business pay a fee every time that one of your adverts are clicked. For example, if you pay £1 per click but make £100 in a sale, the profit margins are huge! PPC appears all over search engines, social media platforms, other websites and more.

Social Media Marketing:

Social media marketing consists of using your business social media platforms to interact with your customers or potential customers, it is a great way to reach new audiences that are looking for the products/ services that your brand offers, as it allows your business to build its online brand, inform customers of your current projects and boost your websites traffic.
